From now until early June, Pastors Mark and Allan will preach a sermon series focused on the Decline and Fall of Jerusalem, leading to the Babylonia Captivity in 586 BC. The sermons will follow the story of the decline as told in the book of 2 Kings. We will intersperse these sermons with messages based on various prophets who spoke God’s word to the Israelites during this time: Isaiah, Zephaniah, Jeremiah and Habakkuk. Many observers say Christianity is declining in the United States in our time. So it may help us all to hear what God said to his people during another time when faith in God seemed to be on the decline. Whatever the “religious trend” is, God is still in control!
