The Christmas season is filled with such excitement and anticipation.  Each year celebrating the birth of the Christ child is a reminder of the grace of God being with us, bringing hope, peace, joy, and love into the world.

But for many of us, the Advent and Christmas season is difficult. Some families are experiencing the holiday season while continuing to grieve the loss of a loved one. Other people must adjust to job loss or strained relationships.

In all things, the truth of Christmas is Emmanuel – God with us.  In the midst of grief, you are not alone, for God is with you.  There is hope and encouragement in the light that has come into the world at Christmas.

Haymarket Baptist Church will host a Service of Hope and Remembrance next Sunday afternoon, December 18, at 3:00 PM.  Recognizing that the holiday season can be particularly difficult for those experiencing grief, this service is an opportunity to remember what has been lost and seek comfort in the grace and peace of Christ.

The service will be available both In-Person and via Livestream via the Haymarket Baptist Church website on the Sermons page.
