Dear Church Family,

We are wrapping up the school year with all the fun things! We are enjoying the gorgeous weather and the opportunity for outdoor play! This month we start off with Teacher Appreciation Week, and no one spoils teachers like the parents of students at Haymarket Baptist! We will get breakfast and lunch each day this week, as well as candies and flowers, and handmade cards! Lots of love happening May 1-5.

Also, we are very busy with all things ‘Mother’s Day’. The 4’s already had their tea party at the end of April…now we honor moms in the 3 yr old classrooms with Muffins with Mommy – some muffins/fruit, songs, and gifts! We also honor moms in Kindergarten – hosting our annual Mommy and Me Spa Day for some exciting new makeovers for our mommies done by their personal stylist (their K student)!

For science, our chicken eggs are hatching this month…as well as our ladybugs and butterflies! We are learning so much about how God’s design for animals is just perfect!

We are busy learning songs for Preschool Graduation from the old west…our wild west show is May 17 and 18 with songs like ‘I am a Cowboy’, ‘Workin’ on the Railroad’, and ‘Happy Trails to You’! May 19 is the last day of preschool. Kindergarten is still in session until June 9th.

Toward the end of May, Preschool staff begins major cleaning and organizing – everything from tables to chairs, to shelves, closets, and toys are cleaned, sanitized, counted, and inventoried! We will also begin prepping all the crafts and projects for summer camp in the month of June.

Kindergarten is very busy reading, learning the 23rd Psalm with sign language, field tripping to Hylton Performing Arts to see a play, studying animal habitats, learning subtraction, and preparing for Field Day!

We are grateful for a year full of blessings and safety! Have a wonderful month, and we thank you for your support always,
