Cindy passed away on the 20th of February from Metastatic Breast Cancer. To the end, Cindy was with her sons Matt and Rob, her sister Sue and brother-in-law Jack, and her loving husband and best friend, Jed.

Cindy was born in Clearfield PA, the daughter of Maurice and Irma Shope. She grew up in Clearfield, PA, was an excellent student, and loved her time with the Clearfield marching band. Cindy graduated from Philipsburg State General Hospital as a RN working primarily in Home Health in Clearfield before earning her BSN Nursing at Penn State University. Cindy loved being a mother and wife and regularly kept in touch with her friends and family. Cindy also had a passion for photography and took many pictures of her family and nature.

Cindy and Jed married in 1987, moved to Vienna, VA, and had two sons named Rob and Matt. They moved to their current home in Centreville in 1993. During her marriage she worked for Inova VNA Home Health until she retired in 2018.

Cindy was a warm, compassionate person of many talents with an ever-smiling face and will be deeply missed by her large extended family, her many friends, and especially her husband and sons.
